It is a winter evening in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, there is a lockdown in the city given the relatively rapid spread of COVID-19 in this city. I worked on this mix to flow, while also intentionally including very different sonic landscapes. This mix includes works by friends, but also globally celebrated tracks. William Prince and Beatrice Deer, who finish up this selection, are striking Indigenous voices thriving on these territories, both part of an incredible wave of Indigenous artists who are urgently claiming space in the cultural landscape.
