Yunis is a producer and co-founder and Kafr El-Dauwar Records. In the Egyptian music scene, the word “mawlid” is associated with many different styles. We see it, of course, related to the Sufi mawlids and the aesthetics that accompany them in terms of unique playing and singing. In the third episode of the “Al Mawlid” series, Yunus presents two hours of the works of Sheikh Abd al-Nabi al-Ranan, in which he reviews his distinctive style and the aesthetics of his unique voice.
